Val is a licensed Independent Life and Health Insurance broker in the Fox Valley area appointed with many different companies. Her goal in working with clients is to give you enough information so that you are both comfortable with YOUR decision and the process by which you came to that decision. Your voice and concerns are taken into consideration so that we can collaborate to discover what will work for you and so that Val can advocate for you as issues arise.
Most of her background is not in insurance at all. She has a degree in Management and Communications from Concordia University Wisconsin For over 20 years she worked for a large multinational computer company the ten years as a Field Engineer fixing computer equipment and retail equipment like cash registers, store systems and network operations. The corporate culture relied heavily on Superior Customer service which was a key measurement. If you could fix anything but not talk with customers you were at a disadvantage. Part of this culture was the importance of continuing education to maintain both the technical skills as well as the soft skills. Having been immersed in this culture for so long it becomes integrated in your personality. She has continued to incorporate those skills in whatever she does. She has found these customer service skills work well with insurance.
Val saw how some other agents engaged with clients and realized she wanted to do things differently. She really is committed to being client focused which is why she joined Anchor Health Insurance and Medicare Masters where she can be a part of a team that shares many of the same values. Her feeling is that if she continues to do the right things for her clients that you will be part of making our business grow to serve the community.
